101. Responsive vs Spontaneous Desire
There's this idea that women take forever to warm up. That we need men to turn us on. That our bodies are slow, complicated, broken.
But what if that's not the full story?
Some women feel turned on out of nowhere - a thought, a look, boom, they're ready. That's spontaneous desire.
Other women need context first. Safety. Connection. Touch. And then arousal follows. That's responsive desire.
Here's what no one tells you: most women experience BOTH depending on where they are in their cycle, their relationship, their life.
But somewhere along the way, we started labeling ourselves. "I'm just not sexual." "I have low libido." "I need my partner to get me in the mood."
And I want to challenge that. Because I've worked with enough women to know: sometimes what we call "responsive desire" is actually just disconnection.
We've stopped touching ourselves. Stopped fantasising. Stopped paying attention to what our body wants. We've outsourced our pleasure so completely that we've forgotten we can access it ourselves.
I know because I've been there.
This episode is about understanding your desire, not as something broken that needs fixing, but as something that's always been yours. You just might have lost touch with it.
Your body isn't slow. You're not complicated. You might just be disconnected. And that can change.
